Matrix filminin konusu ve ne anlatmak istedigi her zaman buyuk merak uyandirmistir. Herkes bu filmle ilgili kendine gore bir sekilde aciklama ariyordu. Murphy romani bu filmin aciklamasi, belki de Filmin cikis noktasiydi? Bu fikir ilk gecen yil Murphy romanini okudugumda aklima gelmisti. En son gecen gun romani tekrar okudugumda artik pek suphem kalmamisti. Her ne kadar internette bu konuda direkt iliski kuran bir bilgi bulamasam da bazi ayrintilar teorimi iyice guclendirmisti. Kitabin 6 kismini okursaniz, kafanizda filmle ilgili zaten cok bir suphe kalmayacaktir. Gelelim simdi aradaki baglantilara...
Kahramanimiz Murphy nin hayattaki en buyuk zevki kendisini ciplak bir sekilde yatagina (tam olarak yatak da denemez, bir cesit koltuktur bu )baglayip tamamen ruhsal bir butunluk yakalamaktir. Kendisini en mutlu hissettigi an iste bu bedeninden tamamen siyrildigi andir. Kitabin 6. bolumu, ki Beckett daha ilk bolumde bu 6. kisim icin vurgu yapar, sanal dunyanin bize guzel bir tanimini yapar.

“But the difference between the rational sphere of Beckett’s early and mental sphere of Murphy is most strikingly shown in the third zone of dark. This third zone, as described in Beckett’s early essay, is only an untheological version of Dante’s Hell (“the static lifelessness of unrelieved viciousness”)-the negative counterpart of any of “two broad qualities.”
In Murphy, this third zone of dark seems an obvious antithesis for hero’s first zone of lumionus morphé. It contains “nothing but forms becoming, without love or hate or any intelligible principle of change.” In this dark, Murphy seems to find the contemplative selflessness which Dante found in the realms of light: he is not “free, but a mote in the dark of absolute freedom.” The third zone, where Murphy lacks all will of his own, is not inhabited by any identifiable persona. Murphy, reduced to the status of “ a missile without provenance or target,” becomes here a mere construct of dead animisms: “ Matrix of surds.”
...Murphy, as the proposed persona of Time, seems to reflect this sense that time’s proper place is increasingly in the “ dark zone of the mind”
